Guests often ask questions about what we offer at Town House Bed and Breakfast and how we differ from other B &B’s, Guest Houses and Hotels in the area. Here we attempt to answer the most common ones in the hope that it might prove useful to future guests.
Q. Are all rooms en-suite?
A. Yes, every one of our rooms is en-suite, but they do differ in the way they are configured. Some have just a shower, one has a bath only and the others have a bath and a shower. So if you have a preference please make sue you read the individual room descriptions before making a selection.
Q. Do you allow pets at your B & B?
A. No, we do not allow pets in any of our rooms. This is nothing to do with not liking animals, but merely in respect of those guests who suffer from allergies etc.
Q. Are you far from the town centre?
A. Our B & B is incredibly close to the town centre and yet tucked away just enough to be quiet. It is literally only a few yards to the main high street, the bus station is approximately 100 yards and Skipton railway station is just under half a mile.
Q. Do you provide evening meals?
A. We only provide breakfast and are not able to offer lunchtime or evening meals.
Q. Is car parking always available and is it free?
A. We have a private car park at the rear of the premises which is always available to our guests and is free to use during their stay.
Q. Do you have Wi-Fi?
A. We have super fast fibre broadband available to all guests throughout the premises and everyone gets a code to use during their stay.
Q. Do you have any entertainments in the rooms?
A. We have Sky TV with ALL channels including Sky Sports, Sky Movies and Sky HD available in each of our rooms and also a DVD player in each. We have a selection of DVD’s available for free hire (subject to a refundable deposit) and guests are welcome to choose from these or ask if they cannot see what they want.
Q. Do we need to bring our own towels?
A. No, all linen and towels are provided freshly laundered, but of course you are welcome to bring your own if that is your personal preference.
Q. Do you have hairdryers in the rooms?
A. Yes, there is a hairdryer provided in each of our rooms.
Q. Do you have a cot or travel cot?
A. No, we do not provide a cot for hygiene reasons. We do however have a high chair for our younger guests which is available on request.
Q. Do you have an iron and ironing board?
A. Yes, we have both which are available to all guests on request.
Q. What time can I check in?
A. Check in time is normally after 16:00 from Sunday through to Friday and after 13:00 on Saturday. It may be possible to park vehicles, drop off baggage or collect keys before these times and in some cases the rooms may be ready ahead of schedule, but as we are a small family run business it can be difficult or sometimes impossible to guarantee this. We will however always do our best to accommodate all reasonable requests.
Q. What time do I need to be back in at night?
A. All guests are provided with a room key and one for the entrance door. There is no curfew time, so guests are able to come and go at any time they please. All we ask is that they respect other guests who might retire earlier and keep noise levels to a minimum.

A. Town House Bed and Breakfast has been established since March 2010 and is still run by the same owners.
