The Town House was used as a bed and breakfast premises previously, but when the last owner left suddenly in 2009 it stood empty for several months. Since then there have been two tenants who have used it as a family home, but not stayed long. We decided to take it over and turn it once again into a bed and breakfast due to it’s prime location in the centre of the bustling Skipton community. It is ideally suited as a guest house with all rooms having en-suite facilities and the benefit of a private car park. The fact that it is so central and offers secure parking makes it ideal for the holiday maker, day-tripper or business person alike. The bus station is 60 yards away and the train station 600 yards!
We decided that we want to offer our guests a good level of comfort and quality but at a price which is highly competitive and affordable to all. We feel that we have achieved this successfully and the great response we have had from our visitors would seem to support it. All rooms have the facilities most discerning travellers require including TV, Sky with all channels including sports, movies and HD, DVD player, free movie hire (subject to refundable deposit), welcome tray with tea and coffee facilities, FREE Wi-Fi and hairdryer. We offer a full English cooked breakfast or vegetarian equivalent to cater for most tastes and to ensure our guests are “Set up” for their day ahead.
We can help and advise you on various aspects of the local area and community so if you are new to the area please ask as we may be able to assist with things such as itinerary planning, as well as giving you tips on getting the most from your stay.
Skipton boasts one of the best Indian restaurants we have ever been fortunate enough to visit and it’s literally at the end of the street! There is also a wonderful Chinese restaurant just over half a mile away, as well as many offering Greek, French, Italian and more traditional cuisines. So if you are a curry lover, a fan of Chinese cooking or just like the dining experience in general Skipton is sure to have something exciting to offer you. There are also a great selection of pubs and places to enjoy a drink after dining, some offering an array of real ales and fine wines, so there is bound to be something to suit your palette.
